Fame can be a Curse Everyone was shocked on hearing the sudden news of Sushant Singh Rajput passing away. May his soul RIP. The rising star of the industry who was battling depression succumbed to it. Depression is no joke. Everyone knows how hard it is to take place in this industry especially when you have no contact with the industry. If a person still achieved this, you cannot doubt if the person was weak. Only a strong-willed, highly determined person can make it. Still, the disease broke him. Depression is like any other deadly disease which any person can suffer from. Many people fight cancer yet many die even while fighting, it does not mean they were weak. The same is with this disease. Studies show that highly successful are more prone to mental illness than normal people. It is because they have to constantly tackle pressures. This fame and money can be a curse for many people. Most celebrities cannot enjoy their normal lives and vacations as they have to think about their e...
Telegram is a Non-Profit Russian app
In the past few months, a lot of people in India have started using a messenger named 'Telegram'. Telegram is becoming popular among the masses. If you have this app you'll notice that almost every day you get a message saying- "Xyz joined Telegram!". Many people think it's an Indian app and I think that's why Indians have started using it. But it's just a rumor.
Telegram was launched by two brothers- Pavel Durov and Nikolai in 2013. The brothers are the founders of Russia's biggest social media app- 'VK'. In the first year itself Telegram had 100,000 daily users and by 2014 had 35 million monthly users. In 2018 it had 200 million active users. Telegram is a non-profit app. The app is funded by Pavel and some other rich patrons and does not earn money. This is because the aim of the app is to provide high-end security service in a world where it is scarce.
The messages on Telegram is stored in a cloud system and are end-to-end encrypted, which means even Law Enforcement cannot access your data. It has a feature called 'Secret chats' which provides even more security. The data in secret chats can only be extracted through the phone which initiated the chat and the one which received it. Although there are safer apps like sicher, you'll have to pay for it whereas Telegram is free.
Telegram is certainly more secure than WhatApp which is more widely used. But WhatsApp is owned by Facebook which is facing criticism for selling user data. Telegram is also known to be more secure than Insta Direct but can be doubted. The two however should not be compared as both apps belong to different categories. Like all other apps, Telegram is also vulnerable to hackers, as there are loopholes in almost all apps. But if you want your data to be more secure, Telegram is a preferred option.
However, even Telegram is facing criticism recently for not being as secure as it says. Russia, where the app was founded has banned Telegram. The reason is another story. Still, it is known to be more secure than WhatsApp and is definitely not an Indian app. Also, it has more customizations than Whatsapp so you can personalize it according to your will.
Now I leave it up to you to decide which one to use- The new blue or the giant green.
Tell me which one you think is better and why.
Hope you enjoyed :)
Curio.
